The Rules

On Island Zero, it is crucial to uphold the following in order to maintain the site's integrity. Failure to comply with these rules will result in being banned from posting on Island Zero, and your IP address may be recorded.

1. Any content, written or linked to, that violates United States law and other (in the United States) illegal activity is strictly prohibited.
2. Posting personal information (incl. dox, doxxing) is strictly prohibited, as well as requesting such information, or otherwise enticing people to share such information.
3. Spam, flooding, and anything of a similar effect will not be tolerated.
4. Be civilized. Heated arguments do not allow for poor or unsavory behavior.
5. News, current events, or politics do not belong anywhere on this site. There are other places to engage in proverbial group stimulation, such as Reddit or Twitter/X.
6. Links to various media or resources may be posted as direct or indirect links as long as Island Zero cannot be seen as an aggregator of piracy in that process.

Failure to comply with these global rules is generally considered a more serious offense than the failure to comply with board-specific ones.

/a/ - Anime

1. Do not post spoilers about a specific manga or anime's plot. Spoiler tags can be used by wrapping text in [spoiler] and [/spoiler]. (Keyboard shortcut available in Settings)

1. Limit discussions to languages, language learning, and linguistics and its related fields.
2. Posting in languages other than English is allowed here, but keep discussions on topic.

/meta/ - Site Feedback

1. Limit discussions to relevant topics, such as bug reports or potential improvements and changes to the site - constructive criticism is encouraged.
2. Make a new thread for each suggestion or question you may have if there is no thread for those yet. Do not post in existing threads to forward new suggestions/questions that aren't already the subjects of those threads.

/mu/ - Music

1. Criticism will be tolerated if, and only if, it is constructive. Always provide reasons and elaborate upon your critiques so that all artists may benefit.
2. Limit discussions about critics and reviewers, unless it may add positive value to an existing discussion (don't Fantano glaze).
3. It's encouraged to share your own music that you've made, but don't blatantly self-advertise.

/pasta/ - Pasta

1. Keep copypastas SFW (safe for work).
2. Both art and text pastas are allowed, but more focus is put upon art pastas. ASCII, SJIS, and normal text options are available in the post form.
3. Larger copypastas should remain within this board, but you are allowed to post smaller pastas anywhere, provided that they are not disruptive or derailing discussions.
